Video-clip 2.0 -- A video-clip made by the fans

Idiap’s technology allowing automatic audio-based temporal alignment has been used in a pilot to produce a video-clip made by the fans. How did it work? Simple !

During a concert, the singer tells the fans to records bits of the next song with their mobile and to send the files to a certain e-mail address (or to upload them to a platform). A recording from the audio control serves as the master sound. Then all the clips are aligned on the master sound according to their audio track.

Finally, it is easy to select sections from the various video-clips to produce a video-clip 2.0, made by the fans.
